The Satavahana Post Graduate studies was established in 1980 under affiliated to Osmania University with M.A. Economics, M.Com, MBA courses. Later this centre was taken over by Kakatiya University and the same university Post Graduate College upgraded as Satavahana University during June 2008 by the state government with introducing M.A. Sociology, M.A. Urdu and M.Sc. Chemistry. The new University is located at malkapoor road, chintakunta outskirts with 200 acres of land allocated. At present 12 courses are functioning at main campus and one course is functioning (Pharmacy) at old premises, left flank of LMD, Karimnagar.
Central Library: A well designed double storied building is constructed in main campus and functioning from March 2015. The Library is providing reading/online material for students, scholars, teachers and non teaching staff. The Central Library divided into Circulation section, Periodical Section/Competitive Section/News Papers/Magazines, Stack Section and also providing internet facilities in the ground floor. 24X7 hall is also available for students to read their own books.
